From the Desk of Walter Mick, DDS

After searching for years for a dentist who shared my vision of care and commitment to my patients, I met Dr. Glynn and knew he was the best person to take over my practice. Although dentistry will always be where my heart is, I’m excited to move onto the next stage of my life and hand over the reins of my practice to Dr. Andrew Glynn.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Best Way to Find a Dentist Who Does Dental Implants?

If you’re planning to get dental implants to replace your missing teeth, it’s important to remember that not every practice will handle the procedure exactly the same way. Some dentists will need to refer you to an outside specialist so that you can have your dental implants surgically placed; however, there are dentists who are able to handle this step in-office.

At Mick Family Dental Care, we’re proud to offer start-to-finish dental implant treatments, meaning we handle everything from the dental implant surgery to the delivery of the final restoration. Dr. Walter Mick is particularly knowledgeable when it comes to using dental implants to rebuild smiles; he’s a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists as well as the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

How Do I Find the Best Place to Get Dental Work Done?

Finding the right dentist isn’t as simple as just doing a Google search and clicking on the first name that comes up. You should consider the traits that you want your new dental practice to have; this will often include things like “willing to accept your dental insurance”, “being located close by”, and “offering specific procedures.” Once you’ve defined these traits, you can search for a dentist that has them.

If there’s a particular practice that you’re interested in, see if they have an online biography for the dentists so that you can learn more about their credentials. It may also be worth visiting the practice’s Google or Facebook page; oftentimes, you’ll be able to read reviews left by patients, which can give you a feel for what other members of the community think about the dentist in question.

How Much Does a Dental Checkup & Cleaning Cost in Reynoldsburg, OH?

You should schedule a checkup and cleaning with your dentist at least twice a year. Each visit should include a review of your health history, a thorough examination of your mouth, a professional cleaning, and an oral cancer screening; X-rays may also be taken. The cost of a dental checkup and cleaning is often between $200 and $350 in the United States, but the location of the practice, your dental health, and your dental insurance coverage need to be taken into account.

What Can You Do If You Can’t Afford a Dentist?

If you’re worried that you won’t be able to afford a necessary dental procedure, talk to our team. We have a couple of ways to make paying for your care easier:

  • Dental Insurance: We are in-network with Delta Dental and can file claims for other plans as well.
  • Financing: We can help you sign up for a CareCredit financing plan, which will let you split up the cost of your treatment into smaller installments spread out over a number of months. Lending Club financing is also available.
