Wisdom Tooth Extractions Reynoldsburg

Extracting Problematic Third Molars

Wisdom teeth, also known as third molars, are the last set of molars to erupt into the mouth, usually between the ages of 16 and 25. While these teeth were once critical to our paleolithic ancestors to gnaw on tough meats and nuts, they aren’t as useful for us today. In fact, in many cases they present more problems than solutions by increasing the risk of dental pain and orthodontic problems. In these cases, Dr. Glynn can help keep your oral health on the right track with a wisdom tooth extraction in Reynoldsburg. The Wisdom Tooth Extraction Process

Your wisdom tooth extraction could look different depending on the angle of your wisdom teeth and whether they have erupted through the gumline. If they’re embedded below the gumline, Dr. Glynn will create a small window that allows him to access the teeth, separate them into smaller pieces, and remove them. However, if the wisdom teeth are visible, he will simply lift them out of their sockets and gently wiggle them free of connective tissue to remove them.
